Elizabeth originally began yoga in 2011 as a means to heal injuries brought upon by competitive athletics and was quickly transformed by its physical and mental benefits. After two years of practice, she completed her teacher training at Blue Sun Yoga where she was practicing partner yoga. As a teacher, she strongly emphasizes body awareness and alignment with special interests in flexibility and hand balancing. Ultimately, she believes that health and happiness are ways of life. In addition to her 200 hour RYT program in Hatha and Vinyasa, she holds a bachelors degree in Nutrition from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, a personal training certificate from the National Strength and Conditioning Association, and has completed a variety of continuing education courses in the health and fitness field.
