Kate first practiced yoga at her gym in Washington, DC and immediately fell in love. She came to release some grad school stress and left with more clarity and peace than she’d thought possible.
Originally from the western suburbs, Kate returned to Chicago after a number of great but not-quite-right jobs teaching ESL, administrative non-profit work, dog walking…plus the great but not-quite-right Masters degree (in International Communication).
She enrolled in yoga teacher training in 2014 and started teaching shortly after. In addition to teaching public classes, Kate has trained in trauma-informed yoga and teaches community classes in neighborhoods where access to affordable yoga options are rare; she also teaches yoga at Cook County Jail through Yoga for Recovery.
