Maria McCord

I found yoga in 2009 and was thrilled to find a practice that fulfilled me in a way that conventional exercise did not. I studied dance and gymnastics extensively in my youth and missed having an activity that fed my soul as well as challenged me physically. I found my home on the mat.

In 2014, I decided to deepen my own practice by enrolling in the 200-hour Teacher Training at Village Yoga and, through that experience, discovered a passion for teaching and sharing the practice with others. I believe in the physical, spiritual, and mental benefits of yoga and am passionate about helping students find and follow their own unique yogic journey.

My teaching style leans towards mindful, vinyasa based flow, rooted in alignment based postures connected with the breath. My classes are accessible to students of all levels and I look forward to sharing the practice with you!
